Prague is renowned for its many Christmas markets and beautiful Old Town Square. Having visited several times, I can say it’s one of my favourites, although it’s one of the least traditional.

Hotels Near Prague Christmas Market

The ideal area to stay in Prague for easy access to the Christmas markets is the Old Town district or on the opposite side of the river in Malá Strana, just below Prague Castle.

My top hotel pick is in the Old Town, about halfway between Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square.

Golden Star Hotel enjoys an excellent location near the Prague Castle Christmas market. Known for its spacious and clean rooms, the hotel provides a fantastic breakfast with various healthy options. The staff, particularly at reception, are friendly and helpful, contributing to a pleasant stay. I stayed at this hotel on my last trip to Prague and loved everything about it. The front rooms have incredible views over the city. Be aware that it is an uphill walk from Old Town to this hotel.

Rooms are clean, spacious, and calm, and the staff are known for their friendliness and helpfulness. The hotel provides an excellent breakfast with various items, rounding out its amenities for a comfortable stay. I stayed in this hotel on a trip to Prague with my family. The rooms were huge and beautiful, and the location at the base of Prague Castle was ideal for us.
