Hotels near Nottingham Christmas Market

Nottingham Christmas Market is one of the biggest Christmas markets in the UK and is known locally as the Nottingham Winter Wonderland. It is held from mid-November until the 24th December at the Old Market Square and Long Row. This is the historic centre of Nottingham and if you are searching for hotels near Nottingham Christmas Market we suggest staying in this area or in The Lace Market district.

Nottingham Winter Wonderland is a traditional German style market with all the wonderful Christmas food, mulled wine, handmade gifts and decorations that you would expect to see in a German Christmas market.

While it’s convenient to stay close to the festive streets and the Christmas market, staying in The Lace Market will allow you to experience one of the most historic and culturally significant districts in Nottingham.

Once at the heart of the British lace industry, The Lace Market is now home to converted Victorian redbrick buildings that are now popular gastropubs, independent stores, art galleries, coffee roasteries and bakeries. I highly recommend staying in this area if you can.

Top Pick
Lace Market Hotel

Address: 29-31 High Pavement, The Lace Market, Nottingham, United Kingdom

The Lace Market Hotel is less than 10-minutes to the Winter Wonderland Christmas Market. Located in one of the trendiest areas of Nottingham, there are many excellent restaurants, bars and shops nearby or eat at the awarding-winning hotel gastropub, the Cock & Hoop Pub. Most rooms at the Lace Market Hotel offer views of St Mary’s Church, the Galleries of Justice and the historic Shire Hall. The hotel doesn’t use single-use plastic and most food provided is locally sourced.

Versailles
Address: Lace Market, Nottingham
This most highly-rated apartment stay in the Lace Market, Versailles is loved for its welcoming host, cleanliness of the apartment, the location and value for money. The apartment has 2 bedrooms and accommodates up to 4 people so this is perfect for groups or families.

Roomzzz Nottingham City
Address: Stanley Place, Off Talbot Street, Nottingham
The Roomzzz is a clean, comfortable hotel only a 7-minute walk to the Christmas market. This is more of an apartment hotel so depending on the room you choose, you will have more space and privacy than you might find in a regular hotel. The location is close to Rock City, the Theatre Royal and Nottingham Playhouse so this is a great option if you plan on going to a live show while in Nottingham this December.

St James Hotel
Address: 1 Rutland Street, Nottingham
Only a 5-minute walk from Old Market Square, St James Hotel is very near Nottingham Christmas Market. The hotel is located just west of the market near the Robin Hood Statue, Friar Lane and Maid Marion Way. The Specialty Coffee Shop is nearby where you can find excellent coffee, baked goods and vegan food. The hotel decor is quite traditional which might not suit everyone.

Ibis Nottingham Centre
Address: 16 Fletcher Gate, Nottingham, UK
While I normally try to avoid chain hotels, the Ibis Nottingham is extremely well-located, half between the Christmas market and the Lace Market. The rooms are clean, simple, standard-sized and are excellent value for money. The is a great budget hotel in Nottingham. If you don’t mind the basic rooms, the hotel location is unbeatable.
