Warsaw has often been overlooked as a Christmas destination, with Krakow proudly taking the place of the most popular Christmas market in Poland. But the capital Warsaw is increasingly popular, and the Christmas markets are growing as a result.
There are a number of Christmas markets in Warsaw, the main market in the Old Town Square and a more modern market across the river in the Praga district.
Choose one of our recommended hotels near Warsaw Christmas market for convenient access to all the sights and events in Warsaw at Christmas.
Hotels Near Warsaw Christmas Market
Warsaw is a large, spread-out city with sights and attractions in every district. It’s not a very walkable city, but they have an excellent metro system that has been upgraded and extended in recent years.
While the Christmas market in Praga is worth visiting and a fun area for nightlife and eating out, I recommend staying in Warsaw Old Town.
The old town is where you’ll find many of the city’s incredible museums, palaces, vodka bars and restaurants, and the most well-known Christmas market.
The old town is the most central place to stay, and you can still visit other areas of the city by taking the metro.

Final Thoughts
Fortunately, Warsaw and Poland generally have high standards for hotels. Cleanliness, quality service and friendliness are typical and almost always excellent features.
Choosing a hotel in Warsaw basically comes down to location and your budget. Aside from that, you’ll be unlucky to get a hotel that isn’t good. Provided the hotel review or rating is greater than 8, I think you’ll be fine wherever you stay in Warsaw.
